What is a User Exit?
A User Exit is a feature of the NCR 2127 which allows programmers to modify, extend or enhance functionalities of the 2127 application to meet the latest industry needs or requirements.
These "exits" are like a highway's on/off ramp, built into the standard 2127 process flow at useful and strategic points to be utilized by programmers. If the standard 2127 process reaches one of
these pre-existing exit points and is instructed to utilize the exit, the operating system will take the exit, perform the enhanced processing functions programmed as indicated by the NCR User Exits Library,
then resume processing from the original point of exit.
