In order to "print" the reports to the screen, your system must be configured with a printer on LPT1.
The MSIE30.exe file may not have downloaded correctly to your computer during MSN Setup. To reinstall this file, follow these steps:
- Place the MSN CD in your CD drive.
- Select the following: Start->Find->Files or Folders.
- In the Named: box, type MSIE30.exe.
- In the Look in: box, select your CD drive (usually D).
- Click Find Now.
- Double-click MSIE30.exe from the results list to reinstall the file.
- Confirm that the Item Data Capture is active and writing over the store loop.
- Your wires may be loose connecting to the store loop.
- You may need to select 4800bps if the store loop is not "Turbo" or 9600bps.
- The RT/2127 software may need to be updated to a newer release . (Rel. 3.1x)
The RT/2127 software can not share the serial port with other active software. For example, if you have a PDA cradle normally connected to COM1: and the PDA software is active on COM1: you will
receive an error from our software when attempting to use the port.
The MS-Windows FIFO Buffers for your serial (COM) port are set above the minimum setting. If MS-Windows receives a packet that does NOT fill this buffer, it will WAIT until the buffer is full. If, for
example, the last packet received by the MS-Windows buffer is too small AND the last responding packet from the NCR 2127 does NOT fill this buffer, MS-Windows will NOT release the buffered data and the Vesper
Software application will not receive confirmation that the NCR 2127 has responded or completed its action. The result appears that the system has "hung" or "locked-up". SOLUTION: Set the
serial port buffers to their lowest settings.
Once you submit a query and the report preview is displayed, press the letter "P" or the key combination, Ctrl-P. This will activate printer selection which will allow you to select a
different Printer, select Pages and specify number of Copies.
If MDAC was loaded, sometimes Windows will not implement the JET engine update. Execute the Jet update utility located on the CD in the Utilities directory
